MFA of Belarus and MFA of South Africa held the 6th round of political consultations

On December 13, 2023 the sixth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa took place in Minsk.

The Belarusian side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Evgeny Shestakov, the delegation of the South African side was headed by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Alvin Botes.

A wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda was discussed. Special attention was paid to strengthening the political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as the legal framework of relations between Belarus and South Africa.

Representatives of two countries shared their expert assessments regarding the current international situation in regional and global context.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation in BRICS, in the UN and in other international structures.
