Belarus Industry minister expected in Luanda on Monday

Luanda — The Belarus minister of Industry, Vitaly Vovk, is expected this Monday in Luanda for a three-day official visit aimed to strengthen the bilateral partnership.
The Belarusian government official, who comes to Angola at the invitation of the Angolan Industry minister, Bernarda Martins, is set to hold meetings with the State minister for Economic and Social Development, Manuel Nunes Junior, besides other government officials, reads a press note from the Foreign Affairs Ministry. 
ANGOP has learnt that the two countries intend to analyse ways to boost co-operation in the sectors of agriculture, forests and transports.
Vitaly Vovk is also scheduled to visit the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) in Viana Municipality, Luanda Province, before departing for his country on Wednesday.

Belarus Industry minister in Angola to strengthen cooperation

Luanda — The Belarus minister of Industry, Vitaly Vovk, arrived Monday in Luanda for a three-day working visit to Angola aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the industry sector
The Belarus official, who was welcomed at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport by senior officials of the Ministry of Industry, has come at the invitation of his local counterpart, Bernarda Martins.
The two officials are expected to assess the new partnership framework, seeking to meet the Angolan Government’s challenges of diversification of its  economy and boosting of the industrial sector,  mainly the in the manufacturing field.
In Luanda, Vitaly Vovk is also due to meet with the Angolan minister of State for Social and Economic Development, Manuel Nunes Júnior, besides other Government officials.
As for Monday, the Belarus official is meeting with the Foreign minister, Manuel Augusto, before an audience with Luanda’s governor, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho,  to discuss waste collection and basic sanitary issues in the capital.
The Belarus minister will also meet with officials of the ministries of Agriculture and Forest, Finance and Transport, besides a visit to Luanda’s Viana Special Economic Zone (ZEE).

Angola and Belarus analyse cooperation

Luanda — Angola and Belarus Monday in Luanda analysed the industrial cooperation between the two countries.

This was during a meeting between the secretary of State Tete António and the Belarusian minister of Industry, Vitaly Vovk.
Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, the Belarus official spoke of his country’s interest to establish partnership in the industry and agro-livestock sectors and thus contribute to Angola’s development.
He also expressed his country’s willingness to supply agricultural equipment to Angola.
Vitally Vovk is since Monday in Luanda for a three-day working visit at the invitation of the Angolan minister of Industry, Bernarda Martins.

Angolan and Belarusian businesspeople discuss installation of plant

Luanda — Angolan and Belarusian businesspeople in a partnership with Ministry of Industry are negotiating the installation of an assembly line for tractors, buses, tracks and agricultural tools in Angola, as part of an intended cooperation between both countries.

To this end, a delegation headed by the Belarusian minister of Industry, Vitaly Vovk, is since Monday in Luanda that is surveying the country’s conditions for the installation of the said factories.
After an audience with Belarusian counterpart, the Angolan minister of Industry, Bernarda Martins, said the visit of the official is part of the existing cooperation between the two countries’ businesspeople for the development of industrial projects. 
According to the Angolan official, the interest of the businesspeople is top priority for the Belarus Ministry of  Industry to assist Angola with these means and export to neighboring countries.
In the meantime, she ensured that the negotiations have started few months ago and only lacks to conclude the partnership between private investors with support from the Ministry of Industry.

Belarus, Angola agree to set up vehicle assembly plant

Luanda — Angola intends to set up car assembly plant in medium term, including buses, tractors and other equipment, as part of cooperation with Belarus. 
 
This was decided at a high-level cooperation meeting held Wednesday in Luanda.
During the meeting the Angolan Transport minister Augusto Tomás and Belarusian Industry Vitaly Vovk agreed to launch soon actions to ensure the implementation of this intention.
Vitaly Vovk said to have reached consensus on the matter, within the bilateral cooperation, but would not stipulate the date.
He clarified that the assembly line of the equipment will be made in Angola.
The  two countries analysed in detail the manufacture of these products.
“We are going to jointly manufacture these products in the near future. We have reached a consensus and achieved the objectives of the visit,” he said.
The official pledged the two countries intention to work on this goal.

Luanda Government to sign agreement with Minsk city

Luanda — Luanda Governor, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho said Wednesday that the city need experience for the continuous development and improvement of its image, in order to create conditions to initiate a protocol of understanding with the city of Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

Speaking to journalists at the end of a meeting with a delegation from Belarus, chaired by Industry minister Vitaly Vovk, Adriano de Carvalho said that several investment proposals had been submitted, and the GPL will create a working committee to analyze the areas of interests to cooperate.
The governor added that Minsk is a city with long experience, in which the country, through its capital, can draw various conclusions, pointing out that they are very advanced in the field of sanitation, solid waste collection and well organized in the field of water supply.
The possibility of visits by some Provincial Government officials from Luanda (GPL) to Minsk for contacts with local authorities was welcomed, and he was pleased with offer of some scholarships for training technicians.
