Cooperation of the Republic of Belarus with the Republic of Angola

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Angola were established on 24 April 1995. The Ambassador of Belarus to South Africa is concurrently accredited in Angola.

The legal base of cooperation between Belarus and Angola is at the stage of formation. Three international treaties have been concluded and are in force.

Visits at the highest level were not carried out, however, there were bilateral contacts at the level of Heads of foreign ministries and sectoral departments.

In August 2015 the first round of political consultations was held in the city of Luanda at the level of Deputy Heads of the ministries of foreign affairs. The Heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries held a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York in 2016.

The first official visit in the history of diplomatic relations to the Republic of Belarus of G.R. Chikoti, Minister of External Relations of Angola, took place in June 2017, when he had a meeting with the Head of the Belarusian state.

In November 2017 the delegation headed by the Minister of Industry of Belarus visited Angola.

In June 2019 Belarusian companies took part in the FILDA International Diversified Exhibition in Luanda.
