Cooperation of the Republic of Belarus with the Republic of Namibia

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Namibia were established on December 21,2000. The Ambassador of Belarus to South Africa is accredited in Namibia as non-resident.

The legal base of bilateral relations is in the formation stage. The Memorandum of understanding between the Belarusian and Namibian Foreign Ministries on holding political consultations and the Memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Namibia on cooperation in crime prevention have been signed.

Belarusian export in 2020 – condensed and dry milk and cream, devices and equipment for measuring and controlling the characteristics of liquids and gases, imports-fresh and dried grapes.

Visits at the highest level were not carried out.

In October 2016, the official visit to Belarus was paid by Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of Namibia N.Nandi-Ndayita. In October 2017 the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus I.A. Shunevich visited Namibia and reached agreements on cooperation between the two countries in the field of crime prevention.
