Ambassador A.Sidoruk meets the Chairman of the National African Farmers Union

On March 19, 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of South Africa, Alexander Sidoruk met with the Chairman of the National African Farmers Union Motsepe Matlala.

During the meeting, the parties discussed possible areas of Belarusian-South African cooperation in the field of agriculture: the introduction of Belarusian agricultural mechanization technologies, the promotion of domestic tractor and harvesting equipment, the resumption of the practice of sending South African students to study in Belarusian specialized universities.

Agreements were reached on holding bilateral events with the National African Farmers Union in video format with the participation of Belarusian enterprises and organizations. In addition, M. Matlala accepted the Embassy's offer to work out the visit of the delegation of the National African Farmers Union to Belarus for the purpose of visiting the 30th International specialized exhibition “BELAGRO” from 1 to 5 June 2021.
