30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Zimbabwe

In connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Zimbabwe, on the initiative of the Belarusian side, on 21 April 2022, a solemn ceremony was organized and held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe with the participation of Ambassador Alexander Sidoruk and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe James Manzou for the exchange of congratulatory messages on behalf of the Heads of State of Belarus and Zimbabwe.

The parties noted a high level of political dialogue and an effective trade and economic partnership. This is confirmed by the meaningful results of the official visit of the President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa to Belarus in January 2019, as well as numerous mutual visits of the heads of the ministries of Zimbabwe and Belarus and representatives of business circles.

An important milestone in diplomatic cooperation was the opening in January 2022 of the Embassy of Belarus in Harare.

There was expressed a confidence in the further development of Belarusian-Zimbabwean relations in all areas for the benefit of the peoples of our states.
