Ambassador A.Sidoruk takes part in the videoconference between National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Academy of Science of South Africa

On 23 February 2022 by the initiative of the Embassy, a meeting was held in a video format between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Science of South Africa.
The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was represented by the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium Sergey Chizhik, the South African side was represented by the Executive Director of the South African Academy of Science Himla Soodyall.
During the meeting implementation of the Protocol of the third session of the Joint Belarusian-South African Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation was discussed. The parties agreed to hold joint events (lectures and round tables) in 2022 both online and within the exchange of visits of scientists from the two countries.
The videoconference was attended by Ambassador Alexander Sidoruk, who noted the importance of developing bilateral relations in the field of science and technology, outlined the relevance of holding this event between the academies of the two countries in the context of a substantive content of the fourth meeting of the Joint Belarusian-South African Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation in Minsk in 2022.
