International Belarusian-South African Carp Fishing Tournament

The international Belarusian-South African Carp Fishing Tournament was held in the Republic of South Africa on 17-20 February 2022.

The event was held at the invitation of the South Africa Freshwater Bank Angling Federation. The Belarusian team was represented by six athletes-fishermen.

Chairman of the South Africa Freshwater Bank Angling Federation Johan Hopley expressed hope for further cooperation and continuation of similar tournaments in the future, thanked the Embassy of Belarus in South Africa for assisting in the organization of the Belarusian-South African tournament.

Earlier in 2019, the Belarusian team took part in the Carp Fishing World Championship, which was held in South Africa, where the foundations of friendly relations between athletes of the two countries were laid.
