Chargé d’Affaires of Belarus to South Africa visits the province of KwaZulu-Natal

Chargé d’Affaires (a.i.) of Belarus to South Africa Andrei Huzich paid a working visit to the province of KwaZulu-Natal on October 22 – 24, 2025.

During his visit Andrei Huzich participated in the KwaZulu-Natal Investment Conference (Durban, October 22 – 23, 2025) held under the theme “Building a resilient, inclusive, and globally competitive KwaZulu-Natal”. The event was attended by the local government, South African business circles and foreign investors. The Conference resulted in the joint pledge of more than 5,8 billion US dollar investment in the projects in the province.

On October 22, 2025 the Chargé d’Affaires held a meeting with Hon. Thamsanqa Ntuli, Premier of the Province of KwaZulu-Natal, joined by the Members of the Executive Council (MECs) for Agriculture and Rural Development, and for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs. The interlocutors had a constructive exchange of views on the promising investment projects and agricultural development of the province with Belarusian technologies and experience. They paid particular attention to the tractor assembly line project in KwaZulu-Natal.

On October 24, 2025 the Chargé d’Affaires visited the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ), where he held talks with the RBIDZ Administration followed by a visit to the development zone, where a Belarus-South Africa tractor assembly line is planned to be constructed.
