Grodno State University
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is a leading regional university in the Republic of Belarus. In YKSUGa quality management system has developed, implemented,certified andit meets the requirements of СТБ ISO 9001-2015. For the first time, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was awarded the Government of the Republic of Belarus Award for Quality Achievements in 2010, and then confirmed the title in 2015, 2018 and 2021.
The University takes an active position in the implementation of international activities, highly values international contacts and is interested in cooperation with foreign countries. Within the framework of the program named “Visiting Professor”, professors and diplomats from leading countries of the world give lectures to university students every year. Today the University has more than 1,000 international students from more than 30 countries.
The University trains specialists with higher education of the first stage (bachelor's degree) in more than 60 educational programs and trains specialists with higher education of the second stage in more than 30 educational programs. Training is conducted both in Russian and English on technical, technological, humanitarian, pedagogical, economic, law and IT courses.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is ready to accept foreign citizens for training in the following areas:
- The pre-universitydepartment, where students study Russian, English and major subjects for admission to educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, adapts them for studying and living in our country. The cost of training is from 1500 to 1980 $. - Full-time studying at the first stage of higher education (bachelor's degree). The cost of studying in Russian for a year is2550 $, in English – 3500 $. Foreign citizens are admitted to the first stage of higher education based on the results of an interview, which determines their level of proficiency in the language in which the educational process is carried out in the chosen specialty;
- Studying at the second stage of higher education (master's degree) in full-time with the assignment of a master's degree. Foreign citizens are admitted to the second stage of higher education on the base of the results of an interview that determines their level of proficiency in the language in which the educational process is carried out and an additional interview in academic disciplines of the chosen specialty.
List of required documents for admission:
- A copy of the passport and a notarized translation into Russian;
- The original documentof education (certificatefor bachelor degree, diplomaformaster's degree) with an indication of the subjects studied, marks (points) receivedand a notarized translation into Russian;
- The original annex to the document of education (certificate, diploma) indicating the subjects studied, the marks (points) received, and a notarized translation into Russian;
- A medical certificate from the country of residence (about the state of health and fluorography) and a notarized translation into Russian;
- The certificate of HIV-free status from the country of residence and notarized translation into Russian;
- Medical certificate of passing a medical examination in the Republic of Belarus;
- Birth certificate and notarized translation into Russian;
- Certificate of completion of the preparatory department (if completed).
The University can accept up to 25 students for each course at the first and second stages of education.
- Postgraduate studying (PhD) with the assignment of a scientific qualification of a candidate of sciences in full-time. The cost of studying in Russian for a year is 3000 $, in English 4500 $. List of required documents for admission:
- A copy of the diploma and attached annexwith the credits and examination list, or a copy of the education document confirming the receipt of education equivalent to the first stage of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, indicating the subjects studied and the marks (points) obtained on them, and a notarized translation into Russian;
- Copies of the Master's degree and attached annex from the examination list, or a copy of the education document confirming receipt of education equivalent to the second stage of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, indicating the subjects studied and the marks (points) obtained, and a notarized translation into Russian;
- A list and copies of published scientific papers, and in case of their absence — a scientific abstract on the profile of the chosen specialty;
- Documents confirming participation in the implementation of research and innovation projects, copies of materials and (or) abstracts of reports at scientific and practical conferences, congresses, symposiums and other similar events (if there were any);
- A copy of the passport and a notarized translation into Russian.
- A medical certificate from the country of residence (about the state of health and fluorography) and a notarized translation into Russian;
- Certificate of HIV-free status from the country of residence and notarized translation into Russian;
- Medical certificate of passing a medical examination in the Republic of Belarus.
Please also note that our university provides all foreign citizens with places in a dormitory, where the cost of living is 30-50 $ per month.
During the training of foreign citizens, they should envisage the following expenses:
- Compulsory medical insurance for one year — 170 euros;
- Passing a mandatory medical examination – 70 $;
- Registration with the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Belarus — $70;
- Visa processing for a trip to your home country during the holidays – 40 $.
